The Culinary Institute of America

Since 1946, The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) has been setting the standard for excellence in culinary education. Located in Hyde Park, New York, the CIA enrolls nearly 3,000 full-time students in its industry-renowned bachelor's and associate degree programs in culinary arts and baking and pastry arts. Students enjoy the benefits of a diverse, professional faculty representing 16 countries, as well as small class sizes, and an array of on-campus restaurants where they gain hands-on experience.

Location: The Culinary Institute of America is located in Hyde Park, New York, on a 170-acre residential campus overlooking the Hudson River.

Admissions: With four enrollment seasons and a total of 16 entry dates, students have the flexibility to begin their studies when the time is right for them.

Financial Aid: The Culinary Institute of America offers a variety of merit-based scholarships and need-based aid, including both federal and state assistance. 91% of CIA students receive financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study opportunities.

Career Services: CIA students average two to three job offers by the time they graduate. More than 300 companies recruit on campus, including four career fairs per year. The Career Services department provides invaluable assistance with resume writing and interviewing skills, as well as introducing students to the CIA's network of more than 44,000 alumni.
